Diagnostics and Maintenance
What you should do
If a warning light appears, the car loses power, jerks, smokes, fuel consumption increases or unusual noises appear, book diagnostics. If a red oil pressure, cooling or brake warning light is flashing, it is better to stop driving and call the service. Engine oil and oil filter are usually changed every 10,000-15,000 km or at least once a year unless the manufacturer specifies otherwise. It is also useful to check the air, cabin and fuel filters.
What we do
We check errors, fluids, filters, suspension, brakes and key maintenance items. After inspection we explain what is urgent, what can be planned later and the approximate labor cost.
You can usually drive carefully to the service if the car drives normally and there are no red warnings on the dashboard.
It is better not to continue driving if oil pressure is flashing, the engine overheats, brakes are lost or the car smokes heavily.
Vehicle Repair
What you should do
If the car knocks, vibrates, brakes worse, pulls to one side, leaks fluid or smells burnt, book an inspection soon. Brake pads and discs should not be left until metal grinding appears: squeaking or scraping means a check should not be delayed. Suspension should be checked if the car feels unstable over bumps, the steering wheel vibrates or tires wear unevenly.
What we do
We inspect the faulty unit, determine which parts need replacement and agree the work scope before repair. When possible, we offer parts options based on budget and vehicle use.
If the noise is minor and the car brakes and steers normally, you can carefully drive to the service without heavy load.
Do not continue driving if the brake pedal becomes soft, the car pulls sharply, the engine overheats, the clutch is gone or there is a serious fluid leak.
Auto Electrics
What you should do
If the car starts poorly, dashboard lights flicker, the battery drains quickly or lights disappear, book a check. The battery is especially worth checking before winter and when the starter turns slowly. If the battery warning light appears while driving, the car may soon stop because charging is not working.
What we do
We check the battery, charging, starter, alternator, fuses and visible connections. The goal is to find the cause, not simply replace the first suspicious part.
If the problem only appears during starting and the car then drives normally, you can usually drive to the service.
Do not continue driving if you smell burning, see melting wires, lose lights at night or the battery light is on and the car starts losing electrical power.
Air Conditioning
What you should do
If the cabin cools poorly, windows fog quickly, there is an unpleasant smell or the A/C has not been serviced for over a year, it is worth checking. Disinfection helps if a damp or mold smell appears after switching on. Refilling blindly every year is not ideal: if gas disappears quickly, the leak should be found first.
What we do
We check system operation, refill level and visible damage. We refill, disinfect or agree repair if the problem is not only low refrigerant.
You can usually drive with a non-working A/C if there are no other technical warnings.
If there is a sharp noise from the engine bay, a burning smell, or switching on A/C affects engine operation, turn it off and book a check.
Tire Service, Wheel Alignment and Storage
What you should do
Tires should be changed seasonally, when tread is worn, a tire is damaged or rubber is old and hard. If the car pulls to one side, the steering wheel is not straight, tires wear unevenly or vibration appears at speed, balancing or alignment should be checked. After a hard pothole hit, the tire and rim should also be inspected.
What we do
We change and balance wheels, repair punctures, check valves and alignment. Tires or wheel sets can be left for seasonal storage.
If vibration is minor and the tire is not damaged, you can carefully drive to inspection without high speed.
Do not drive if the tire loses air quickly, has a side bulge, the rim is badly bent or the car feels unstable.
Roadworthiness Inspection Preparation
What you should do
Before inspection, pay attention to lights, brakes, tires, fluid leaks and unusual noises. Common issues are lighting, brake efficiency, suspension, tires and exhaust. If inspection has already failed, bring the report so we can check the exact points.
What we do
We check common inspection risks: suspension, brakes, lighting, tires, leaks and visible defects. Then we agree what should be fixed before CSDD.
If the car drives normally and has no safety issues, you can come for a pre-check before CSDD.
If there are brake issues, a serious leak, damaged tires or important lights are not working, fix the defect first.
Tow Truck
What you should do
Call if the car does not start, has accident damage, a serious leak, brake issue, overheating or tire damage that makes driving unsafe. If possible, prepare your location, car model, destination and whether the car rolls and steers.
What we do
We help arrange towing in Riga and across Latvia. The exact price is agreed based on location, vehicle type and situation.
If the issue is not safety-related and the car can move safely, you can come to the service without towing.
Call a tow truck if the car overheats, brakes are gone, there is a serious leak, a wheel is blocked or after an accident it is unclear whether the car is safe to drive.
